SL Video Creators Group’s October 2026 Showcase at the Second Life Cinema!

Calling all machinima fans! The SL Video Creators Group returns with another Director’s Showcase at the Second Life Cinema, this time featuring filmmaker SueSue Sideways. Founded by Jordan Rizzo in 2020, the SL Video Creators Group continues to bring together filmmakers across Second Life to connect, collaborate, and celebrate machinima. Through monthly showcases like this one, the community highlights standout creators and the unique voices shaping virtual storytelling.

Join us on Thursday, October 8 at 5pm PT for a spotlight on SueSue Sideways, a filmmaker whose work combines choreography, cinematography, music, and emotion to bring dance machinima to life. Over the years, she has expanded her creative work beyond dance and music videos to include wedding films, promotional projects, and other forms of visual storytelling. In this episode, hosted by Lozza Weymann, SueSue looks back on her journey in Second Life and how she first found her way into machinima.

She talks about her love of music, how songs inspire her ideas, and the way choreography, camera work, and storytelling come together in her films. She also shares the challenges she's faced, the lessons she's learned over six years of filmmaking, and advice for creators finding their own style. Where to watch: Inworld: Visit the Second Life Cinema and experience the showcase with friends in a shared virtual theater. Online: Watch simultaneously on the SL Video Creators YouTube channel. Make sure your media and sound settings are enabled for the best experience.
