ROCK IN SL

Rock in SL came from my passion for Rock in Rio. As a carioca of the gem, I always enjoyed the festivals that happened very close to my home in RL. In the first edition, I tried to set the scene so that it would be as close as possible to the old editions of Rock in Rio, when it was basically the World Stage on the lawn, with land. My brother Thor introduced me to Staley and then we partnered up for the live broadcast of the event on Facebook. The idea was to be as similar as possible to the event that takes place in RL. So I tried to focus on singers and rock DJs. But as Rock in Rio accepts more varied songs, I put it on electronic and dance more for the beginning of the day, leaving rock for the evening. In the first edition, we had a turnover of 70 people throughout the day, which surprised me a lot. In the second edition, we had news, with the presentation of the Group Roots, who prepared a show focused on rock’n’roll. In this edition, we have already had the Stage Mundo and also a secondary stage, which was provided by the Group Roots itself. I'm looking forward to the third edition later this year, but I'm still wondering if it's gonna be two days or just one, like in previous editions. The scenario will be fully modified and this time the assembly will be focused on the most modern Rock in Rio. The goal is to have an event where people can meet, listen to the great DJs and rock singers we have at SL and enjoy a day — or a weekend — of a lot of rock’n’roll.

The event had its first edition in 2024, with two achievements that year: the first on April 28 and the second on August 24. Last year, the event didn't happen. So, you can say that he's two years old since his creation.The biggest difficulty is to fit the singers and DJs' schedules. As this organization is usually done in advance, when the date of the event approaches, some participants end up asking for changes in schedules, which requires adjustments in the schedule so that everything continues to work well.

To date, the event has never been sponsored.Some unforeseen events have happened behind the scenes, as a singer who could not attend, and it is necessary to find a solution so that the programming does not have empty spaces. In addition, there is a whole work of attention and organization during the event, such as talking to one person here, another there, warning who will be next to enter, guide singers and DJs and ensure that everything happens as close as possible to what is planned.

The structure of the event is assembled by the event organizer (Andrea Sadovnycha). The proposal is always to leave the scenario as similar as the real-life event, creating a more immersive and realistic experience for the public. The assembly takes place slowly, one day after another, carefully in every detail.

In all, they have already passed the event 24 attractions, between singers and DJs. In addition, the Root Group also performed a special presentation during the second edition.

It is worth holding such an event, as it brings a different proposal and energy that escapes traditional parties. It's a fun time, where everyone can meet, enjoy each other's company and enjoy great DJs and singers to rock and roll.
